THE OFFICIAL WEB PORTAL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OFMayor Annea De Leon, together with the LDRRMO, Office of the Municipal Engineer, General Services Office (GSO), and PNP, conducted an on-the-ground inspection to assess the impact of continuous heavy rains across Santo Domingo.
Mayor De Leon personally visited flood-prone areas, urging residents to evacuate to safer locations. To ensure the well-being of evacuees, she ordered the immediate use of the Parada Productivity Center as Santo Domingo’s primary evacuation site, emphasizing a commitment to providing a decent and livable evacuation center.
In a proactive move, Mayor De Leon also directed the GSO to deploy all available rescue vehicles, including a backhoe, to maximize ongoing rescue and clearing operations.
